Attire: Custom Gowns, Ties and More!
A few weeks ago at the Guilded Bride Event I met Harper Della-Piana, the owner of SEAMS, Custom Couture Gowns and Accessories. Harper had a stunning dress on display and a few models walking the room in her couture creations. She also had a many ties on display. She shared with me that she has fabrics in any color you can image (and seriously she had some hard to find colors on display: rich purple and royal blue just to name a few). There was one really fun thing about her ties that truly made them custom for her clients, she can line the tie in any fabric available.
For example the royal blue tie she had created for a beach side wedding. The bride and groom had a lobster and clam bake for their rehearsal dinner in which they presented all the grooms men with their custom ties. Each designed and tailored to their specific measurements. When you turned the royal blue silk tie over it was lined in a fabric full of crustaceans! It was so sweet and unique. Every time after the wedding when these men wear their tie there is no doubt it won’t stir up some fond memories.
